Neurosurgical Research

The Department of Neurological Surgery at Saint Louis University conducts research dedicated to improving patient outcomes through understanding the underlying causes of neurological disease, advancements in minimally invasive surgical techniques, and assessment of patient outcomes. Saint Louis University Hospital is uniquely equipped with some of the most advanced neuroimaging techniques, including Magnetoencephalography (MEG) and functional MRI, which led to the establishment of the Saint Louis University Advanced Neurosurgical Innovation Center (SANIC) in 2008.
