Catholic Churches
Spain is a traditionally Catholic country and, therefore, many places of worship are Catholic churches that offer daily mass and observe the Catholic holidays. The grand cathedral Santa María La Real de La Almudena is the centerpiece of the Catholic faith in Madrid. It is situated in the center of the city, next to the Royal Palace.
