Global Management & Decision Making, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate

Saint Louis University’s post-baccalaureate certificate in global management and decision-making prepares professionals to lead and make sound decisions in an increasingly interconnected business environment. The program in the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business emphasizes ethical, data-driven decision-making while building an understanding of how global dynamics, operations and technology shape modern organizations. Students learn to connect global dynamics with local practices, equipping them to navigate uncertainty and drive organizational success in diverse contexts. 

Through case analysis, simulations, and applied learning experiences, students strengthen their ability to analyze problems, communicate insights clearly and collaborate effectively in team settings. As part of SLU’s Professional MBA program, the certificate offers a flexible, high-impact pathway for working professionals to build globally relevant leadership capabilities while progressing toward a broader graduate business education.

The Chaifetz School uses a holistic admissions approach to carefully evaluate all applicants, considering every aspect of their application. While an undergraduate degree is required for admission, a business background is not. Applicants may be required to submit their:

Accreditation

The Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the world’s largest business education alliance and accrediting body of business schools, ensuring continuous quality improvement in terms of curriculum, instructional resources, student selection, career placement and intellectual contributions and qualifications of the faculty. Approximately 5% of business schools worldwide have achieved AACSB accreditation. 

  • Graduates will develop a strategic level understanding of the key functions of business — accounting, economics, finance, international business, management, marketing, operations and statistics.
  • Graduates will analyze problems, make decisions, and present results, both individually and as part of teams and groups, using vehicles such as problem and case analysis, integrated modules and live consulting opportunities.

Continuation Standards

Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 in all graduate/professional courses.
