Research Interests
- Dr. Salsich's research focuses on identifying biomechanical and movement factors that contribute to lower extremity musculoskeletal pain/pathology conditions, and testing the effects of rehabilitation strategies based on this knowledge. Data is obtained using 3-D motion analysis (joint angles and forces), digital video, electromyography (muscle activation), clinical measures of muscle strength and joint mobility, and self-reported measures of pain and function. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the American Physical Therapy Association, and disseminated internationally via peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
