Karen Petroski is a 2004 graduate of the law school at the University of California,
Berkeley, where she was a supervising editor on the California Law Review and was
elected to Order of the Coif. She received her bachelor's degree in philosophy and
comparative literature from Duke University in 1990 and a Ph.D. in English and comparative
literature from Columbia University in 1999.
Practice Areas
Before joining the faculty in 2008, Petroski was a litigation associate with Morrison
& Foerster LLP in San Francisco. After law school, she served as a law clerk for the
Honorable William W Schwarzer of the United States District Court for the Northern
District of California.
