When does the guaranteed interview take place?
The guaranteed interview will take place while you are enrolled in the MAPP program during the spring semester, typically in February.
Do I need to apply to SLU School of Medicine for the guaranteed interview?
Yes, you need to apply through AMCAS. The AMCAS deadline for Saint Louis University School of Medicine is November 15, and the secondary application must be submitted by December 15. MAPP candidates must complete all M.D. application requirements to be eligible for a guaranteed interview. Please use the AAMC American Medical College Application Service® (AMCAS®) Medical Schools and Deadlines site to find the application deadline for Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
Do I need demonstrated clinical, service and research activities for the guaranteed interview?
Yes, all applicants must have demonstrated substantial hours of community service and patient-facing in-person clinical shadowing and service. Research is encouraged but not required on your MAPP application.
Do MAPP students take courses with medical students? 
Yes, during the fall semester. They take spring courses with physician assistant (PA) students and doctoral physical therapy (PT) students.
How many service hours do I need to complete during the MAPP year?

If participating in the guaranteed interview pathway, you must complete 20 hours total through two different activities by the end of the program. At least one activity must be through an organization provided by the Saint Louis University School of Medicine Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Does the MAPP program provide MCAT preparation?
Yes, On Demand Kaplan is provided.
Does the MAPP program have clinical and/or research experiences?
No, the MAPP program does not arrange any experience for you. However, by being on the medical school campus, you will have the opportunity to meet our faculty and explore what possibilities may be available for you in your area(s) of interest.
When is the MAPP application deadline, and when do classes start?
he application deadline is Aug. 1, and classes start Aug. 12, 2024
Is there a rolling admissions process?
Yes, applications are evaluated once all required documents have been received.
When does the application review process occur? 
Historically, our application review process begins around Feb. 1.
