Nuclear Medicine Residency and Fellowship

The SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine Nuclear Medicine residency program provides clinical experience and didactic instruction in all phases of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine, preparing physicians for full-time practice.

Program Highlights

The three-year, ACGME-accredited nuclear medicine residency offers training in diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging, non-imaging procedures and a wide range of nuclear medicine therapeutic procedures. Residents are strongly encouraged to pursue clinical and basic research projects.

Residents in their second year of training have the option to apply for a one-year PET-CT fellowship, which is not ACGME-accredited.

Meet the Faculty

Apply

The residency program has one position available per year. At least one year of post-graduate, U.S.-based training in an ACGME-accredited residency program (e.g. internal medicine, pathology or radiology) is required. Candidates may also be board-certified or board-eligible in any of these disciplines.

To be considered for an interview, submit the following documents by Nov. 1:

  • CV with email address
  • Three current letters of recommendation
  • USLME scores
  • Personal statement
  • Photo
  • Visa status and ECFMG certificate, if applicable
