Build your network and learn from professionals in the field in Saint Louis University's Department of Communication.

St. Louis area professionals serve as guest speakers in classes, offer mentoring and networking opportunities for students and teach some of our classes. In addition, our Communication Advisory Board ensures that the Department of Communication develops students who are competitive in the workforce and keeps up with changes in the communication field.

Communication Advisory Board

Our advisory board consists of professionals in a wide range of communication careers. Our board members offer insight into the essential skills the Department of Communication should teach its students and make suggestions about how the department can improve its curriculum to reflect changing communication industries.

Once a year, our board hosts a communication networking event, giving students an opportunity to interact directly with board members and ask them questions. The board is made up of a mix of SLU alumni and friends of SLU.
