James H. Korn Scholarship for Teaching and Learning Award
As a way to promote scholarly research on teaching and learning at Saint Louis University,
this award recognizes full-time Saint Louis University faculty who engage in research
on student learning and teaching activities in their courses at SLU.
Eligibility: Current full-time faculty members at Saint Louis University. Note: a
team of individuals or a department may be nominated as long as at least one member
of the team is currently a full-time faculty member at SLU.
To Nominate Yourself or a Colleague: Please email nomination materials to Mary Cook (mary.cook@slu.edu). The deadline for nominations is Moday, October 27. Award Ceremony will be held the afternoon of Friday, January 30, 2026.
Scholarship for Teaching and Learning Symposium
We invite faculty and graduate students to submit a 500-word proposal for a poster presentation on a current (in-progress) or recently completed Scholarship (or Research) of Teaching and Learning project. New research as well as research already presented at national or local conferences is welcome. Symposium will take place the afternoon of Friday, January 30, and will culminate in the James H. Korn Award Ceremony.
To Submit a Proposal: Please fill out the SoTL Symposium Proposal form. The deadline for proposals is Monday, October 27. Proposal acceptance notifications will be sent by email by Wednesday, Oct. 29.
