We shape minds, hearts and spirits

At the School of Education, we believe a student’s education requires more than filling their heads with facts; you have to care for the whole person, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. For more than 100 years, we’ve prepared educators to do that as community leaders, advocates and innovators.

Our graduates commit to careers in under-resourced schools through field experiences in local and international sites, demonstrate our dedication to faith formation through our Catholic Education Programs and build our local community through the Billiken Teacher Corps.

At SLU, our students share a commitment to intellectual rigor and the use of knowledge for the betterment of our local, national and international communities.

In 1925, Saint Louis University established a School of Education. Today, we renew our commitment to provide a high-quality education for the whole person as a student, teacher, leader and community member.
