Thank you for your interest in the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
How to Apply
All applicants will apply using ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).
Early application submissions are encouraged. All applications will be screened and reviewed. All candidates that signal our program will be given a careful review of their applications. A dean's letter is not required for initial review.
Applications should consist of:
- Three letters of recommendation. The selection committee accepts both traditional
letters of recommendation and the AOA electronic Standard Letter of Recommendation
(eSLOR) from letter writers.
- Only one form of recommendation is required of each writer, but both, in combination, will also be accepted.
- Medical School Transcripts
- USMLE Step 1
- USMLE Step 2
- Personal Statement
- Medical School Performance Evaluation (Dean’s Letter)
All documents must be uploaded via the ERAS portal. Documents emailed or mailed will not be accepted for consideration.
Our program participates in the AOA/CORD Universal Interview Offer Day for interview invitations. The interview dates for our program are scheduled for January 17, 25, and 27, 2024, with a social meet-and-greet the evening prior to each interview date. We anticipate offering only in-person interviews for the upcoming cycle.
