A Message From the Chair

Welcome to the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. 

Our team is made up of regional experts who are known for academic excellence. Our skilled researchers continue to make significant advances across a broad portfolio of clinical research — discoveries that are integrated into our premier patient care. 

We also have one of the nation's busiest otolaryngology residency programs, and we offer additional training opportunities: a year-long audiology externship and an otolaryngology observership program. 

Our faculty and staff cultivate a collaborative, supportive environment that fosters professional growth and innovation.

Research

The department aims to produce clinical and epidemiologic research that advances the field of otolaryngology by producing cutting-edge treatments and improving patients' quality of life. It works in an ethical, honest manner and cultivates a collaborative research partnership between students and faculty. 

In the past five years, department researchers have published more than 100 manuscripts. They regularly present at national and international meetings.
